Watermelon on the Cob

Egypt announced that she wanted watermelon as a snack. It was OK, so she went in the kitchen to help herself. I told her to use a plastic plate and grab a fork. I heard a lot of noise as she fumbled through the silverware drawer, but I let it go. When she emerged from the kitchen, this is what I saw:
